BODY IN CREEK FOUND WRAPPED IN PLASTIC
Police have confirmed a body found in a creek near Killingworth west of Newcastle was wrapped in plastic at the time it was discovered.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad have been called in, with Strike Force Furzer set up to investigate how the body came to be in the creek.
It was discovered by a member of the public at around 10.30 on Saturday morning, with the body now the subject of a forensic examination.
Wakefield Road remains closed between Rhondda Road and The Broadway as police continue their investigation.
