VIRGIN FLIGHT ACADEMY STILL IN THE WORKS DESPITE JOB CUTS

Virgin Airlines says plans for a flight academy in Tamworth won’t be affected by its decision to slash 750 jobs across all flight routes.

Tamworth Mayor, Col Murray, is adamant the project WILL go ahead – though no ground has been broken yet.

“I think they’re two different subjects and we are waiting on the approval of the foreign investment review board for that Virgin flight school, we’re expecting to hear very soon… In fact, in the next couple of weeks.”
