Local Land Services has rehabilitated almost 50 kilometres of riverbank vegetation on the far north coast, as part of its Marine Water Quality Program.
It’s primarily been focusing on the Emmigrant Creek catchment.
It’s halfway through the two-year program, which aims to reduce sediment entering waterways and protect marine life.
