SHOTS FIRED INTO PARKED CAR AT NEATH

An investigation is underway after a Hunter Valley man found what are believed to be bullet holes in the side of his car.
Police have been told the 23-year-old was inside a home on Cessnock Road at Neath at around 7:30 on Sunday night, when he heard a loud bang outside.
An inspection of his car, which was parked out the front, found that the windows of the Holden Commodore had been smashed, as well as what are believed to be bullet holes.
Initial investigations suggest the incident was targeted, with a number of items seized for forensic examination.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
