HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE OUTSIDE CASINO

Fire has destroyed a house and come perilously close to a sawmill on the far north coast.

The blaze broke out on the property outside Casino this afternoon with six crews responding rapidly.

While the home was gutted, firefighters were able to stop it spreading to nearby timber stockpiles.
