There are some rugby league fans who’d go to the ends of the earth to support their team, and Mike Cashman is surely one of them.
The Knights fan is walking 300 kilometres from Tamworth to Newcastle, to raise money for members of the sporting community who’ve fallen on hard times.
The journey will take him around 12 days, with his first stop in Goonoo Goonoo.
“I’ve done all of the preparation for it, I’m very walk fit at the present time and everything should be good.”
He’ll arrive in Newcastle just in time for Old Boys Day on August 31.
