$80 MILLION SENIORS LIFESTYLE PROJECT BREAKS GROUND IN WOOLGOOLGA

The number of seniors living in Woolgoolga is set to significantly increase in the next couple of years.

Breaking ground today, an $80 million, over 55’s lifestyle community project.

Close to 200 homes are set to be built on this 18 hectare site over the next two years.

“That’ll be creating upwards of 50 jobs so we think it’ll be a major impact on the local economy and once we’re in operation phase I’d say there’s be somewhere between 8-10 full time jobs.”

Looking to fill the shortage of affordable accommodation, developer Ingenia Communities will rent pockets of land to the home owners.”Because they’re not actually buying the land it means a senior can sell their home and put a couple $100,000 in the bank.”
