Marine rescue group, ORRCA, is calling for the community to help track down a whale which became entangled in ropes between Tweed Heads and Byron Bay on the weekend.
The group was unable to assist the humpback at the time, due to dangerous conditions.
It was last spotted on Sunday at 3pm near Tyagarah, towing an orange buoy, with long ropes trailing behind.
