CONSTRUCTION GETS UNDERWAY ON SCONE TO MURRURUNDI PIPELINE

Construction on the 40-kilometre water pipeline between Scone and Murrurundi started today.

The $14.2-million project will secure Murrurundi’s water supply by connecting it to Glenbawn Dam – ending a long history of water insecurity.

The project is expected to be completed by the middle of next year, with a large reservoir for Murrurundi likely to be built soon after.
