COMMUNITY NOT GIVING UP ON MIDCOAST COUNCIL’S MOVE TO BIRIPI WAY

The fight against the MidCoast Council’s move to the Biripi Way building in Taree may seem over but the community is still trying to put a stop to the project.
After being knocked back in Parliament this week, the community group is now seeking an Upper House Inquiry.
Minister for Local Government, Shelley Hancock says there is no evidence against the MidCoast Council breaching obligations for their $20-million project.
Council is set to begin the fit-out of the building.
