A 42-year-old man has been charged, after allegedly assaulting two security guards and a police officer at a Hunter hospital on Friday night.
It’s believed three guards attempted to restrain the 42-year-old when he became agitated in the emergency department at Maitland Hospital around 11pm.
Two of the guards were assaulted, while a police officer, who was called to the scene, was also attacked.
The patient was eventually subdued and admitted for treatment.
The man’s due to appear in Maitland Local Court court next week.
