A woman has been found dead by the side of a road in Port Macquarie after an apparent hit and run incident.
It’s believed the woman was hit by a car while jogging along Hill Street, with the driver leaving the scene.
The woman, aged in her 30s or 40s, is yet to be identified and was carrying no identification.
She’s described as Caucasian and was wearing dark clothing.
Police are eager to speak to anyone with information on the incident.
