LISMORE WOMAN DEFRAUDS OVER $60,000 FROM TERMINALLY ILL MAN

A 54-year-old woman from Lismore has been charged after allegedly fraudulently obtaining and spending more than $60,000 over 12 months.
The woman was given access to a debit card in March of 2015, to pay for ongoing medical bills for her terminally ill brother.
The man discovered the woman had withdrawn $68,529 from his account after checking over bank statements and identifying a number of discrepancies.
Police were notified, and the woman was charged on Saturday with dishonestly obtaining a financial advantage by deception.
