Lake Macquarie police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at Toronto last night.
At about 8.50pm a young man entered a shop on The Boulevard armed with a knife.
He then approached a 64-year-old female employee and demanded money.
The employee handed over an amount of cash before being pushed to the ground by the offender, who then fled the scene.
The woman was treated for a small laceration on the back of her hand.
The offender is described as being approximately 165cm tall, in his late teens and of a slim build.
