QUEENSLAND MAN ARRESTED OVER CENTRAL COAST DRUG LAB

A Queensland man’s been extradited to New South Wales to face drug charges after he was charged over a clandestine drug lab on the Central Coast.

The 64-year-old man was pulled over by Brisbane Water Police in December 2016 and an amount of methamphetamine was allegedly found in his car.

Police then searched his home at Kariong where they allegedly found a clandestine drug lab. The man failed to appear in court and has been on the run ever since.

Officers from Major and Organised Crime Squad at Roma in Queensland, contacted New South Wales Police on Wednesday and told them of the man’s arrest.

The man was flown to Sydney and later charged with 13 offences including supplying an indictable quantity of drugs and manufacture of a prohibited drug.
