The first shovels hit the ground today at Tamworth Public School.
The facility is receiving a multi-million dollar upgrade, which will include seven brand-new classrooms and improvements to the school hall.
The aim is to provide contemporary learning areas for students, as well as extra staff facilities.
Construction is scheduled for completion next year.
