The trip to Glenbawn Dam has just become a whole lot easier, with a new bridge opening at Broad Crossing near Scone.
The original bridge collapsed in April 2011 when water was released from nearby Glenbawn Dam.
The Upper Hunter Shire had previously argued, the collapsed bridge over the Hunter River was hampering tourism in the area.
The $1.9-million bridge was funded by the Upper Hunter Shire Council with the state government contributing about $600,000.
