A man has died in hospital after a car crash at Tarriaro near Narrabri.
Police say the 28-year-old driver hit a wild pig before the car left Maules Creek Road and hit a tree on Saturday night.
All five people inside were trapped for some time before being released by Fire and Rescue.
The four passengers remain in hospital.
