CHARGES LAID OVER THEFT OF CONSTRUCTION TOOLS AT LAKE MACQUARIE

A man accused of stealing more than $150,000 worth of tools and machinery from building sites across Lake Macquarie will face court today.
Police will allege the 40-year-old broke into site sheds at Dora Creek, Boolaroo and Mount Hutton during early July, stealing generators, heavy duty construction tools and a quad bike.
Officers arrested the man on Monday afternoon, after he was caught behind the wheel of an allegedly stolen tipper truck on Albert Street at Warners Bay.
He’s facing 15 charges, including break and enter.
Sam Burbury reports.
