NAIDOC Week celebrations got underway in Grafton this morning, with a street march…
Followed by a smoking ceremony and flag raising at the Clarence Valley Council chambers.
Around 150 people attended the event – one of many to be held throughout the week.
:it was a beautiful morning, the rain held off, all the community gathered together, aboriginal and non-aboriginal gathered together at Market Square and then we walked together up the street then had out flag raising and smoking ceremony.”\:
The theme of NAIDOC Week this year is ‘Voice, Treaty, Truth.’
