A second serious crash in as many days has closed Wilfred Barrett Drive on the Central Coast.
Five people were treated as a result of the crash, which happened at around 9 o’clock on Monday morning just north of The Entrance.
Three cars and a cyclist were involved, with a man airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital with head, pelvis and abdominal injuries.
He’s reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
Another man, along with two young girls were taken to Gosford Hospital with minor injuries.
The female cyclist was transported to John Hunter Hospital with an ankle and shoulder injury.
“Turning up to a crash like this, you look at the amount of carnage and expect the worse – but job is to get in there and do everything we can to ensure the best outcome for each patient,” said Inspector Brad Folitarik.
The road is closed between Mini Street at The Entrance North and Magenta Drive.
