RAAF 77 SQUADRON CELEBRATES 77 YEARS

If seven’s your lucky number you only needed to look skyward today, Air Force Squadron 77 forming a ‘double seven’ formation, to commemorate its 77th anniversary.

16 hornets were involved in the spectacular flypast over Port Stephens and Newcastle.

Those jets will soon make way for even more advanced F-35 Joint Strike Fighters.

The double seven formation was also flown by Squadron in 19-55, when it returned to Australia following the Korean War.
