There’ll be ten more boots on the beat in the North West, with the Oxley Police District set to welcome five new officers, and a further five to be deployed to the New England District.
It’s part of a $580-million initiative, providing more than a thousand officers statewide over the next four years.
High visibility teams and a specialist cyber crime taskforce will also be established.
It’s the single largest investment in the state’s police force in more than 30 years.
