VOLUNTEERS CONTINUE THE SEARCH FOR THEO HAYEZ IN WEEKEND EFFORTS

Almost one hundred volunteers gave up their Sunday in a bid to continue the search for missing backpacker, Theo Hayez.

Gathering near Tyagarah Beach just north of Byron Bay, the volunteer-lead search focused on the surrounding beach and scrub areas.

Whilst police have temporarily halted their search efforts, the army of volunteers were eager to keep up the pace.

It’s expected Belgian authorities will be assisting local police later this week.
