The annual New Brighton sand dune makeover is again in progress, with the 6 week process of sand scraping beginning yesterday.
The exercise involves scraping large amounts of sand from between the low and high tide region up to the sand dunes.
Scraping is a short term solution but the council are currently working on a coastal zone management plan for the future.
