RENEWED PUSH TO FLOOD-PROOF ROAD AT TESTERS HOLLOW

Labor has also taken aim over the state of the road at Testers Hollow.

The party wants the government to fund an upgrade to flood-proof the busy thoroughfare.

“We have a new minister now, we have a new premier, it’s time for them to look at this with fresh eyes to the benefit of our community,” said Maitland MP Jenny Aitchison.

Federal, state and local politicians were today supported by the Shadow Minister for Roads.

“What we want the minister to do is actually do a proper business case appraisal of this project so that she understands that this is a worthy project,” said Shadow Roads Minister Jodi McKay.
