MAN RETURNS TO APOLOGISE AFTER ATTEMPTING TO ROB CESSNOCK SERVO

A man who it’s alleged demanded cash and cigarettes from a Cessnock service station, then returned more than a week later to apologise has been refused bail.
The 25-year-old will face Cessnock Local Court in August, after he was arrested earlier this week over the June 11 incident.
Police will allege the man threatened a staff member at the business on Wollombi Road, before leaving empty handed.
He then returned more than 10 days later and apologised for his behaviour.
Bail was formally refused.
