WORK COMMENCES ON NEW CROSSING

Work has commenced on building a new Clarence River crossing at Harwood.
The existing Harwood Bridge also turns 50 this week.
It was opened on August 20, 1966, by then Governor of New South Wales, Sir Roden Cultler.
On Saturday afternoon there will be a celebration of the milestone, including a reunion of people who work on its construction.
