PORT MACQUARIE PRESCHOOLS URGED TO APPLY FOR GOVERNMENT FUNDING

A new funding boost from the state government is already being welcomed by Port Macquarie preschool and local MP Leslie Williams is urging more preschools to apply.
It’s part of $15 million aimed at ensuring children that attend preschools have safe and engaging learning environments.
“There are two funding streams, first of all the $5 million capital works grant but on top of that we’ve introduced a $10 million quality learning and environment grant. So this will enable preschools to upgrade their learning environments” – Leslie Williams, State Member for Port Macquarie
The money can cover items like new play equipment or new air-conditioning.
Applications are already open online.
