MAN SHOT DURING HOME INVASION AT LISMORE
Three men remain on the run after a brazen home invasion in the state’s north, in which a 46-year-old man was shot in the leg.
Police say the group forced their way into a unit on Airforce Road in Lismore around 11 o’clock on Friday night, demanding the five people inside hand over their wallets and mobile phones.
A 30-year-old resident was then hit over the head with a beer bottle, while a 46-year-old man was shot.
Both men were taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s believed the incident was targeted.
The group are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and aged in their late teens or early twenties.
At the time of the incident, they were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.
Anyone with information should contact police.
