EAT THE STREET SUCCESS IN LISMORE

Designed to show off local produce, and attract people to the CBD, Lismore’s Eat the Street Festival fed a hungry crowd of thousands today.
Local businesses and food growers are already calling for another event to be held next month.
Just home from Eat the Street. Wow- what a great vibe on what was a beautiful autumn evening. Heaps of people really enjoying themselves, many having a beer or a wine and just kicking back. We went for dinner, and while many vendors had run out of food (better than having food left over though), we still managed to walk away happy and satisfied. This is the sort of thing that Lismore really needs more of, especially in the autumn and spring months when its not to hot and not too cold. Maybe every three months – say March, thent the Lantern Parade in June, then another in september to herald the coming of spring.
Bring it on Lismore.
