The state government has today approved two mining leases for the Wallarah 2 coal project.
It follows the $800 million long wall mine at Bushells Ridge, getting both conditional approval at the state and federal level.
The decision comes amid a two-decade long fight against the mine, over concerns it will impact on the Central Coast’s drinking water catchment.
