EARTHQUAKE EXHIBITION RETURNS TO NEWCASTLE

Newcastle Museum will host an exhibition to mark the 30th anniversary of the city’s deadly earthquake.
The display – which formally starts on July 3 – will feature archival footage by NBN News.
“No one knew it was an earthquake, people forgot we had earthquakes so the NBN footage will be on display here.”
This weekend, there’ll be a so-called ‘shake up event’, featuring theatre performances, live music and interactive exhibits.
“Some things they’ll be invited to join as a game, some things they’ll discover on their own, some things will be a performance bringing everyone together. We finish with what we call the ultimate relief concert.”
