TAMWORTH COUNCIL RECEIVES $30,000 TO MANAGE FLYING FOXES

Tamworth’s flying fox problem will come under the microscope, with Council receiving more than $30,000 to manage local colonies.

The state government grant will be put towards creating alternative habitats for the bats, after a number of noise and odour complaints.

Flying fox awareness campaigns, monitoring and signage are also top of Council’s priorities.
