ASBESTOS SCARE AT CENTRAL COAST AMBULANCE STATION

Point Clare’s Ambulance Station has returned to regular operation, after an asbestos discovery on Wednesday led to its immediate closure and quarantine.
The deadly fibre was found following an inspection of overflowing box gutters.
All ambulances and vehicles have been tested and cleared.
The inspection report has revealed that the asbestos hazard has been detected in the plant room only, with the rest of the premises cleared for use.
Ambulance New South Wales say that response times are not being affected.
