STOLEN PORSCHE USED IN LAKE MACQUARIE PURSUIT

Charges have been laid against a 24-year-old man, who it’s alleged led police on a pursuit in a stolen Porsche at Lake Macquarie.
Police arrested the man in bushland at Cardiff on Thursday afternoon, after the vehicle crashed into a fence on Clinton Close.
It’s alleged the 24-year-old had the previous day stolen the Porsche Macan from a home on Hurn Street at New Lambton, before it was spotted driving along York Street at Teralba at around lunchtime yesterday.
Police attempted to stop the luxury car, though the pursuit was called off due to safety concerns.
The vehicle was later spotted at Cardiff, where it mounted a gutter and crashed into a fence.
The man was charged with a string of offences including disqualified driving and possessing a prohibited drug.
