It was a luckless day for Soli Bailey in Western Australia, the Suffolk Park local sent packing in the round of 32 at the Margaret River Pro.
Bailey was completely outclassed by his Brazilian opponent Italo Ferreira…managing only low scores at the world renowned break, The Box.
“You can see how quick it is you don’t have a lot of time to get to your feet, you’ve really got to drive down the bottom and pull straight up with a lot of speed and hope that thing opens up and lets you out.”
His two-wave total of 3.5 paling in comparison to Ferreira’s 15.
The 23-year-old will head to Brazil for the next leg of the tour.
