LOCATION CONFIRMED FOR TAMWORTH ORGANIC RECYCLING FACILITY

Tamworth is one step closer to recycling organic waste, with council purchasing a 117-hectare property at Gidley to build an organics recycling facility on.
The project will cost $15-million… work is due to begin in July next year.
Tamworth Regional Council says the facility will bring numerous benefits.
“There’s the environmental impact, it extends the life of the landfill, we’re also able to use the product for farming and mulch production for the community.”
Construction is likely to take around 2 years to complete.
