A woman, aged in her 20s and small child have died in a tragic three car collision at Wollongbar on the state’s far north coast.
While investigations are ongoing, police believe the pair’s Nissan Micra clipped a 4WD before colliding head on with a Landcruiser.
“It is always difficult for Police and other Emergency Services to attend scenes of accidents like this and I would like to reinforce to people to please be careful out on the roads.”
The two people travelling in the Landcruiser have been taken to Lismore Base Hospital with minor injuries.
The Bruxner Highway is closed in both directions and traffic is being diverted between Wollongbar and Alstonville.
