HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS ENCOURAGED TO BUILD CAREERS IN PROPERTY
It tends to be a man’s world, but 50 high school girls attended the University of Newcastle today, to challenge the status quo of the property industry.
The Property Council is trying to encourage more women into the sector through a statewide program.
“They think it’s about construction or real estate, but we’ve talking about architects, lawyers, we’ve been talking to some town planners,” said Anita Hugo, Property Council Australia.
“I didn’t even consider a career in architecture but walking around and seeing the studios that students work in here at Newcastle was really awesome.” added student Michelle Tapera.
