MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDER FLOWN TO HOSPITAL AFTER CRASH NEAR MOUNT SUGARLOAF
Rescue crews were forced to winch an injured man from bushland west of Newcastle on Friday.
The 60-year-old was riding in a remote area on the eastern side of Mount Sugarloaf at around 10 o’clock in the morning, when he fell from his bike.
It’s understood the man suffered a broken leg in the crash, and was stabilised by a medical team from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
