A 39 year old man’s been convicted of stealing oysters – intended for sale on the black market.
Cape Byron Marine Park compliance officers caught the seafood poacher with 200 restaurant-grade oysters, illegally harvested from the Brunswick River.
He’s since been found guilty of larceny in the Mullumbimby local court and fined $1000.
