BAIL REFUSED OVER NIMBIN HIT AND RUN

A court has heard that a man, charged over a fatal hit-and-run at Nimbin, has received death threats.

Jimi Knight was refused bail before Lismore Local Court today.

The 31-year-old is accused of a string of offences, including dangerous driving occasioning death.

The incident last month claimed the life of 62-year-old Tonia Jansen, and left her 63-year-old partner seriously injured.
