GOVERNMENT CALLS TO SAVE GUYRA DAM

Experts are predicting Guyra Dam could be without water as soon as August.
It’s dipped to 35 percent capacity.
Construction on a pipeline between Guyra and Malpas Dam is underway, but there are concerns the project might not be finished in time.
Member for the Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall, has requested the State Government transport water from Malpas to Guyra as soon as possible.
Guyra requires more than 400 megalitres of water each year.
