WINTRY CONDITIONS AS SNOW FALLS AT HANGING ROCK

Snow has fallen at Hanging Rock, near Nundle in the state’s north west, in the first dusting of the year.
Snow chasers took to social media to express their excitement, though those hoping to see white across the Barrington Tops were left disappointed.
The mercury is expected to fall further on Sunday, after temperatures this morning dropped to some of the coldest so far this year.
In Armidale, it was just 2.7 degrees at 4:30am, while further down the road at Tamworth it was as low as 6.2 degrees.
