Three people had to be rushed to hospital after a serious crash on the Buckets Way, north of Newcastle on Friday.
Emergency services raced to the scene near Booral late in the afternoon, after reports several people has been trapped in a multi-vehicle crash.
Two people were taken to hospital by road, while a 69-year-old woman was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital suffering abdominal and chest injuries.
Earlier in the day, the Tamworth based helicopter was called to Narrabri, after reports a 59-year-old man had been injured in a motorbike accident.
He was flown to Tamworth Hospital in a stable condition.
