An Armidale man is under police guard in hospital, after allegedly leading police on a chase and crashing his car last night.
Police began pursuing the disqualified driver along Apple Tree Hill Road at around 10pm.
The 31-year-old allegedly sped off, colliding with a police car.
His car then hit a tree and rolled onto its side.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries and is yet to face charges.
