EASY CATCH: HUNDREDS OF FISH WASH UP ON KILLCARE BEACH

Hundreds of fish have washed up on Killcare Beach this morning.
The dead mullet raising concerns within the community that the local water ways may be contaminated.
But the Department of Primary Industries have said the fish came from a legal commercial operation gone wrong.
It’s believed there was a problem with the netting and some mullet escaped, which were later found washed up on the sand.
The fishermen have been asked to remove the dead fish.
