TWO CHARGED AFTER CENTRAL COAST PURSUIT

Two people have been charged after an overnight police pursuit stretching more than 30 kilometres on the Central Coast.
Officers attempted to pull over a white Holden Commodore at Wamberal at around 10:40 on Sunday night, when the driver allegedly accelerated away.
The vehicle then led police through Erina and East Gosford, where road spikes were deployed.
The chase continued through Kariong and Woy Woy, before the sedan came to a stop at Umina, where a female passenger got out of the car.
She was arrested, while the 23-year-old driver climbed onto a nearby roof in an attempt to evade officers.
He was eventually taken into custody, before being charged with a number of offences including assaulting police.
His female passenger, aged 20, was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest.
We’ll have the full story for our Central Coast viewers in tonight’s news.
