A Port Stephens police officer has been released from hospital, after he was hit by a car yesterday.
The Senior Constable had stopped an orange Holden Commodore on Nelson Bay Road at Anna Bay and was conducting a random breath test – when two cars collided nearby.
The 40-year-old was knocked to the ground and pinned between the vehicles.
Fortunately he wasn’t seriously injured…he’s expected to make a full recovery.
